About Stef
As a total novice, I discovered my artistic voice after retiring in 2017, when curiosity opened the door to a passion.

As both a studio and plein air artist, I paint landscapes and still life, working predominantly in oils. I love the richness and versatility of the medium, using a bold vibrant palette to create paintings full of colour, texture and atmosphere.

I also welcome commissions, creating bespoke pieces that capture places and subjects that hold special meaning.

What inspires me

Painting outdoors is where I feel most inspired. Â Immersed in my surroundings, I strive to capture not just what I see, but the mood, light and fleeting atmosphere of a particular moment. Â For me plain air painting is about connecting with a place and translating that experience into onto a blank canvas.

I am a member of Art North Wales, The Grosvenor Art Society of Chester and The Artists Group. Â I regularly exhibit my work and am delighted to have been selected for the North Wales Open as well as having exhibited at the RCA, Conwy.

Each September I take part in the Clwydian Creatives Art Trail and am a regular visiting artist at Afonwen Craft Centre, where visitors can see me painting live as well as view and purchase my work.

My artistic journey continues to evolve, driven by a love of colour, a fascination with the environment around me and the joy of sharing my work with others.
